Shall we introduce you to the concept of an escape game
What is an Escape Game ?
It is a form of entertainment similar to live-action role-playing games or live-action escape games. A team of players must solve a series of puzzles to progress through the scenario created by the designers.
Traditionally, players were locked in a prison, bunker, manor, etc., and had to find a way to escape from their captor. Today, the concept has evolved, players now experience an adventure in a cinematic setting.
The Game Master or GM accompanies them remotely, helping them with their smooth voice, providing hints at the right moment. The goal is to reach the end of the story.
We refer to this as a new generation escape room because the puzzles are integrated into the storyline. Padlocks and codes are absent from our rooms because they don’t fit the decor and disrupt the coherence, and therefore the immersion.
We have established a quality charter to demonstrate our commitment as creators.
Its Origin
The history suggests that escape room originated from point and click video games, like Monkey Island, Maniac Mansion, and Day of the Tentacle.
In Japan in 2008, the first escape room was created by the company SCRAP in Kyoto under the name: The Real Escape Game.
It develops in Asia and becomes global in 2010. In December 2013, the first escape room in France opens in Paris with the franchise Hint Hunt, and in February 2015, the Adventure Rooms franchise opens its first room in Toulouse.
We opened our first adventure a few years later in April 2018, a so-called new generation room without padlocks and codes.
How It Works
The game unfolds in three phases, lasting approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes.
First, you'll be briefed on your mission. This is a way to immerse you in the scenario and get you directly into the action.
Then comes the adventure itself. You'll explore the locations, find objects, and information through meticulous searching. By communicating with each other and using your wits, you'll solve puzzles, uncover mysteries, and overcome the challenges of the adventure.
You will move through different game spaces with varying decor. The puzzles are either sequential or parallel, so you'll need to distribute the tasks effectively.
You'll need logic, observation skills, dexterity, communication, and teamwork to complete the mission.
Finally, if you wish and if you have the time for it, the GM will debrief your immersive experience with you.
The Team
Whether it's for a team-building, with family, or with friends, the ideal team consists of 3 to 5 players. Depending on your experience and comfort level with this type of game, you can adjust the group size.
It's your team spirit that will make you effective in the action. Our rooms are designed so that every player finds his/her role during the adventure.
Searching, thinking, logic, manipulation, observation, but also reflexes and action—the list of skills you'll need is long.
However, universally, no prior knowledge is required.
The Game Master (GM)
They are undoubtedly your best ally; they're not there to set traps for you. They're there to assist you as best as possible in this challenging mission.
The Game Master sees and hears you through cameras throughout the adventure, and if needed, will help by providing hints.
It’s the one that is responsible for you and only you throughout your time in our establishment.
Game Rules
Strength
You will never need strength to solve a puzzle. If something resists you, do not insist. There's probably a mechanism that will open once you've succeeded.
Search height
You won't find any objects above 1.90 meters. Everything is within reach, so there's no need to climb the furniture.
Use of Objects
Once you've used an object to solve a puzzle, you won't need it for the rest of the adventure. You can leave it behind, it will no longer be useful.
Phone
We ask that you keep your phone in your pocket during the adventure. You should not use it at any point during the game.
